Matthew Kreutz: Partner
I’m a strong believer in hand crafted products! There’s a lot of pride taken at Hunter Bay with the selection, blending and roasting of our coffees. I enjoy the creative process of coffee blending and brand building. Matt’s favorite Hunter Bay coffee: I love Smoke Jumper. Crafted with the cigar smoker in mind, Smoke Jumper is a bold, smoky blend with lots of complexity.
Glenn Junkert: Director of Coffee
I’m responsible for obtaining the highest quality coffees from around the world for Hunter Bay and for developing our signature blends. I am a third-generation Montana native and learned to love coffee from my grandmother and I believe that one cup of exceptional coffee per day constitutes the fuel of life. Professionally my first love has always been coffee and this business that my wife and I started in 1991. Glenn’s favorite Hunter Bay coffee: My wife of 36 years and I love to camp, hike and hunt in Montana’s back country, so Back Country Organic!
Corey McClure: Operations Manager
I’m here for the coffee. I love roasting and producing all of Hunter Bay’s wonderful coffees. I run daily operations, quality control, and maintain our roasters, grinders and inventories. I strive to make sure that we have consistent, high-quality roasts and precision grinds. Missoula is a wonderful place to live, and I love getting out doors with my wife, Stacey, and our two boys, Logan and Royce. We enjoy mountain biking, camping and canoeing. Corey’s favorite Hunter Bay coffee: Currently I am drinking Mocha Java Organic & Cafe Montanaro Espresso.
Dan Strachan: Roast Master
My job at Hunter Bay is coffee, coffee and more coffee – take your pick – from cupping samples with Glenn to weighing out every single bean (green and roasted), to maintaining and fixing the roasting machinery. Before Hunter Bay I worked in restaurants on and off for many years and did sound at a rock club. Music keeps me sane. I play in two bands and listen to music every waking moment. I’m happily married and we have two daughters, Roxie and Poppy. Dan’s favorite Hunter Bay coffee: Garden City Espresso!
Liz Evans: Accounting Manager
I very much like good coffee, therefore it is a pleasure to work for a very good coffee company. I was raised in South Dakota and moved to Missoula to attend the University where I earned a degree in Small Business Administration. I have two children and five grandchildren. I enjoy reading, softball, and hiking. Liz’s favorite Hunter Bay coffee: Sulawesi.
Bonnie Tucker: Project Manager
I love good, freshly roasted, Hunter Bay coffee and I get to communicate that through our marketing efforts. Before I started working here I spent 12 years as a fine dining pastry chef and restaurateur. I have degrees in Literature and the Culinary Arts, and although I don’t bake as much as I used to, I still read classic and contemporary fiction voraciously. I also have an amazing ten-year-old daughter named Madeleine who takes up most of my spare time. Bonnie’s favorite Hunter Bay coffee: right now I’m drinking Trout Slayer.
Joann Emery: Operations Staff
Once roasted, the beans come to my corner here at Hunter Bay. It is my job to weigh, grind, label, package and then ship the coffee off to our customers. I learned to appreciate a good strong cup of coffee during my years living in Switzerland where I worked for an overseas mission organization. I moved to Montana from “south of Darby” (Montana-speak for California). I enjoy spending time with my extended family and I love to travel – my most recent trip was to Kenya. Joann’s favorite Hunter Bay coffee: Moose Drool Organic.
