Garden City Decaf is a careful selection of coffees blended to create a balance of bright and spicy aromas in a naturally sweet coffee with accents of berries, caramel and brown sugar and a full-coffee aftertaste.

Developed as a caffeine-free version of our award-winning Garden City Espresso, Garden City Decaf is a versatile blend that works well either as an espresso blend or as brewed decaffeinated coffee. Garden City Decaf is decaffeinated using the ‘Ethyl Acetate’ Decaffeination Process. Although “ethyl acetate” sounds like a synthetic chemical, it is actually obtained from the natural fermentation of sugar cane or pineapple. Ethyl Acetate Decaffeination is a natural process using a liquid and steam wash from this food-grade fruit processing by-product to produce a healthy decaffeinated coffee that is flavorful and full-bodied.

Decaffeinated coffees require a fine touch during the roasting process to preserve and enhance the delicate flavor of the beans without scorching or burning. By slow-roasting Garden City Decaf with care and attention, we have created a light roast blend that will satisfy the coffee lover who wants rich, hearty flavor without the caffeine. Whether served as a straight espresso, brewed and enjoyed with breakfast, or as the foundation for a latte or cappuccino, this signature decaffeinated coffee blend delivers remarkable complexity in aroma and flavor, supple consistency, and a long, satisfying aftertaste.

Roasting Notes:
We roast Garden City Decaf to a classic light-caramel Full City roast to take full advantage of the unique flavor characteristics of each bean in the blend, offering classic coffee flavor in a decaffeinated blend.
