Garden City is our classic European-style light roast espresso, a careful selection of coffees blended to create a balance of bright, spicy aromas, naturally sweet coffee flavors with accents of berries and brown sugar, and an aftertaste of pure coffee, caramel, molasses and licorice.

Developed in 1992 after extensive research, Garden City is carefully blended and roasted in the historic tradition of world espresso culture. A freshly pulled shot of Garden City releases an aromatic bouquet of fruit, spice and citrus and has complex flavors of berries, coffee-caramel and spice. Garden City is not only perfect enjoyed as a straight espresso, it makes a wonderful foundation for a classic cappuccino, adds spice and fruit highlights to espresso drinks with a high milk content, and mixes well with natural flavorings such as cocoa, cinnamon, or honey. If you haven’t yet tried a traditional light roast espresso, we are confident that Garden City will become a regular addition to your daily coffee ritual.

Roasting Notes:
We slow-roast Garden City to a Full City Roast to take full advantage of the unique flavor characteristics of each coffee in the blend, creating a beverage with classic espresso flavors.

Tasting Notes:
Aroma – Rich, thick foamy bright amber crema with accents of lemon and allspice.
Acidity – Lively, tart with citrus overtones that fill the entire palate.
Flavor – Naturally sweet with even tones of brown sugar, molasses and lemony highlights.
Body – Rich, thick amber crema over translucent ebony tones and supple thickness.
Aftertaste – Tart and lasting with extended cocoa, maple sugar and licorice tones.
Balance – Fruity and lively with a full, rounded sweetness.
