Medium Roast: Mocha Java is the world’s oldest known coffee blend: a traditional combination of one-third genuine Ethiopia Mocha to two-thirds Java. Hunter Bay’s Mocha Java Organic is a re-creation of this traditional blend – we use the highest quality coffees from Africa and Indonesia and carefully adjust the percentages to achieve a balance between the dancing fruit accents of the Indonesian and the thick earthtones of the African coffees. Mocha Java Organic is rich in flavors of wild berries and spice – a well-structured coffee with a full taste profile and exceptional stability.

Roasting Notes:
Mocha Java Organic is roasted to a medium Viennese roast to maintain a balance between the powerful berry accents of the Ethiopian coffee and the sturdy earthtones of the Indonesian coffee.

Tasting Notes:
Aroma – Sweet, rounded fruit tones with hints of spice and cedar highlights.
Acidity – Muted tones of spice and berries that fade quickly.
Flavor – Initial blueberry highlights quickly absorbed by notes of earth, slate and cedar.
Body – Thick, stout and powerful with subtle fruity edges.
Aftertaste – Smooth but quickly anchored by lasting tones of earth and cedar.
Balance – Spicy highlights rounded by full, earthy body.
