Medium Roast: Vienna Roast is an exceptional version of the medium-dark roast coffee made famous in the Austrian city for which it is named. This is a three-coffee blend that balances the rich character of the source coffees with the flavor accents contributed by the Viennese-style roast.
As the roast deepens, coffee gradually surrenders the flavor characteristics inherent in the green coffee beans to the bigger flavors of dark sugars imparted by the roast. A quality Vienna-style roast should reveal the unique qualities of the source coffee while adding a touch of caramelization from the roast. Vienna Roast reveals the delicate flavors of sweet dried fruit, toasted almonds and dark chocolate in an even balance with the hints of burnt sugar common to a classic Vienna Roast. The result is a rich brew with complex, identifiable flavors that gradually give way to the tang of “darkness” in a brew that’s sweet, stable, thick and very smooth.
Roasting Notes:
Vienna Roast is slow-roasted to maintain the coffee’s natural essence, so the beans reveal a rich full-brown chocolate color with a very slight translucent sheen of oil.

Acidity – Modest acidity with candied fruit brightness.
Flavor – Dried apricot & black cherry with accents of cinnamon & semi-sweet chocolate.
