Matt: General Manager

I’m a strong believer in hand crafted gourmet products! There’s a lot of pride taken at Hunter Bay with the selection, blending and roasting of our coffees. I enjoy the creative process of coffee blending and brand building. I enjoy hiking Montana’s beautiful back country during the warm months and, when there is snow, you’ll find me on a good old fashion pair of skis at SnowBowl. Matt’s favorite Hunter Bay coffee: I love Smoke Jumper, a great aged coffee blend that is bold and smoky with lots of complexity.

Corey: Roast Master
I’m here for the coffee. I love roasting and producing all of Hunter Bay’s wonderful coffees. In addition to custom roasting all of our coffees, I’m in charge of quality control, and maintain our roasters, grinders and inventories. I strive to make sure that we have consistent, high-quality roasts and precision grinds. Missoula is a wonderful place to live, and I love getting outdoors with my wife, Stacey, and our two boys, Logan and Royce. We enjoy mountain biking, camping and canoeing. Corey’s favorite Hunter Bay coffee: Currently I am drinking Big Sky Organic & Montanaro Espresso.

Kyle: Wholesale Accounts
Attention to detail, care and pride in our products and customers are characteristics that I contribute to the team here at Hunter Bay. I have two brothers and one sister, and have lived in Montana my whole life. I graduated from Stevensville High School in 2002 and my favorite part of living in Montana is getting outdoors. I played soccer growing up, and last fall I had a great time playing inside back for the UM Jesters rugby team. Kyle’s Favorite Hunter Bay Coffee: Any quality cup of coffee is satisfying to me, but I would have to say that I enjoy a cup of Trout Slayer the most.

Amy: Merchandising
I do my best to develop the gourmet foods and merchandise to complement our premium gourmet coffee. Before Hunter Bay I worked for almost 10 years as a Certified Kitchen Designer, providing design services to hundreds of projects. In my free time I love dabbling in design, re-upholstery, and projects around the home, long hikes, and reading the daily paper with my favorite cup of Hunter Bay coffee! Amy’s favorite Hunter Bay coffee: All of my favorite coffees alternate but I most love an Americano, made with Garden City Espresso!

Liz: Accounting Manager
I very much like good coffee, therefore it is a pleasure to work for a very good coffee company. I was raised in South Dakota and moved to Missoula to attend the University where I earned a degree in Small Business Administration. I have two children and five grandchildren. I enjoy reading, softball, and hiking. Liz’s favorite Hunter Bay coffee: Sumatra Organic.

Joann: Operations Staff
Once roasted, the beans come to my corner here at Hunter Bay. It is my job to weigh, grind, label, package and then ship the coffee off to our customers. I learned to appreciate a good strong cup of coffee during my years living in Switzerland where I worked for an overseas mission organization. I moved to Montana from “south of Darby” (Montana-speak for California). I enjoy spending time with my extended family and I love to travel – my most recent trip was to Kenya. Joann’s favorite Hunter Bay coffee: Moose Drool Organic.
